Mastichari is located on the north coast of the island, 20 km from Kos town, next to Marmari and relatively close to the island's airport.

A former fishing village that has currently become one of the most popular tourist destinations of Kos, despite having the less developed resorts, keeping its older beauty almost intact.

The village offers attractive sandy beaches with turquoise waters that resemble distant exotic locations, which make them for some the most beautiful beaches in Kos. The beaches are well organised, with various water sports such as windsurfing and blessed by gentle winds and amazing sunsets.

In addition to the calmness and tranquillity of the village, Mastichari has a reputation for extremely good fish tavernas serving only freshly caught fish. A few metres from the beach you will find some of the best. Mastichari is also an important tourist port with ferries and hydrofoils arriving and departing several times a day to Kalymnos and Pserimos.
